Windera State School was established in 1920 amidst the surrounding farming community. Beef cattle, dairy cattle, sorghum are the main produce for the area.
The school is considered the hub of the community and many social functions take place on its grounds. The community takes great pride in its school.
Currently we have 15 students from prep year to year 6 in a multi-age class.
We have:
- 1 full time Teaching Principal
- 1 part time Teacher
- 3 Teacher Aides providing full time support in the classroom.
- A part time casual Grounds Person
- A Cleaner
The principal's name is Mrs Cheryl Harvey.
